Longtime DC-based favorites Thievery Corporation will be headlining their very own outdoor concert this weekend at Fairgrounds. Known for their fusion of groovy downtempo electronica and soulful, jazzy sounds, they will be joined by an all-star lineup of funky, hip, cool, worldly and eclectic artists.
The event runs all day. To keep folks happy, there will be a ton of local food trucks and drink options. For some extra comfort, splurge on a VIP ticket, which offers a sweet view that overlooks the entire venue.
Thievery Corporation has its origins at Eighteenth Street Lounge, where members Rob Garza and Eric Hilton met back in 1995. They have since together released seven studio albums, over a dozen compilations, and a slew of singles on their label, ESL Records. Together they’ve toured the world but Washington, DC, still remains home!
