• Atmosphere: Josephine Lounge in Washington DC is famous for the luxurious playground it provides The District’s young, upscale, fun-loving thrill seekers. After going through some serious renovations in the summer/fall of 2011, the lounge named after Napoleon’s first wife is described as “a dark and mysterious adult funhouse, all done up in black walls, lavender lights and multifaceted mirrors with embedded LEDs everywhere you look.”

Venue Overview

Entry to one of the most chic, sophisticated DC lounges is granted to those who appreciate the finer things in life. Descending into this playground for adults, one cannot help but realize they have entered the next level of clubs in DC. Large columns throughout the venue are adorned with diamond-shaped mirrors containing small LED displays between them. Plush VIP tables surround a sunken dance floor, while others line the top and still more exist in the club’s Gold Room.

No one photo can capture the entire venue. While some go wild in The Pit, others relax at their tables overlooking the action. Beyond the VIP is the club's Gold Room. Behind are the 'L' bars and dance floor.

Upon entering, to the immediate right are two bars in an ‘L’ shape, forming the outline of a small dance floor. The servers are some of DC’s hottest bartenders. The DJ booth extends just beyond the second bar and hangs over the sunken dance floor.

Imagine the hottest people in DC, thrown into a plush VIP area, and enjoying the finer points of inebriation. And don’t worry if you didn’t purchase a table, you can still go down and party!

Coming out of ‘The Pit’ on the other side one finds themselves entering the Josephine Gold Room. A kingly area that can open to the rest of the club, or clos off via a floating wall. It features a newly remodeled bar that spans the length of the room as well as a more open space that features an increased number of intimate VIP nooks.

Josephine lounge in Washington DC is a place to see, be seen, hide, stay hidden, party hard, or sip and relax. It’s up to you!

• Wednesday: God save the Queen! Majesty at Josephine features a Wednesday party in DC to remember!
• Thursday: Mainstage at Josephine blends popular dance, mash-up, top 40 and hip-hop for the DC club sophisticate. It features a rotation of the nation’s top residents and offers free entry to the first 100 ladies!
• Friday: Glow Fridays at Josephine bring DC’s #1 party to the DC lounge sophisticates. A Miami-style approach to dance music sees Glow bringing dance acts like Robbie Rivera, Mark Knight, ATB, Fedde le Grand and more.
• Saturday: Koodeta at Josephine brings a certain, nous ne savons pas. It’s savoir vivre cultivated amongst the gentry of DC nightlife.
