From NY to DC nightlife, but he didn’t have to take the Chinatown bus… George Garcia arrived at GWU in 2006 on the back of a business degree, a pair of cleats and a mixer. He took no time in diving into the local house circuit, spinning at K Street Lounge, Eyebar, Lotus, Five and Indebleu.

Within two years he found himself running parallel with those Chinatown buses, working residencies in NY at Azza Lounge and D’or as well as spinning here in The District. It was around that time he hung up the cleats and let the bass take over.

2009 saw George spinning everything from a Playboy fashion show to a US Tennis Association after party. He spun celebrity parties for everyone; Wimer Valderamma to Wu-Tang; Sean Kingston to Ovi.

His style? Tribal house with a flare for pop. His latest ‘oE Summer Prescription’ mix contains tracks by Swedish House Mafia, Afrojack, Avicii, David Guetta, Yves LaRock, Steve Aoki and more!

Bio

Hanging up his cleats and bidding farewell to the soccer field, George Garcia has found another way to entertain and impact masses of people. George has become one of the younger, more recognized DJ’s in the scene and is not taking his pedal off the gas anytime soon. Couple together a love and appreciation for all music with an adrenaline filled desire to bring joy to people, and you pinpoint what shape his performances and have gained him recognition.

George found his relationship with music early on in life by being an active part of his family parties and being raised in an energetic, happy environment that embraced music at all times. He was first exposed to music and Latin rhythms as a child. Having his father as the main source of entertainment at parties, whether it be dancing or making sure that everyone was always on their feet, taught George to always keep the people moving. At the age of 13 George began DJing alongside friends for graduation parties, sweet sixteen events, bar mitzvahs, weddings, and house parties. As George grew older he began to perform and travel to different places, performing at private events and competitions to develop recognition for the sole purpose of providing people with a reason to move and dance.

In 2006, George made the decision to attend the George Washington University and enroll in the School of Business. By moving to Washington D.C., he embraced a new crowd, a new environment, a new scene, and a new city full of listening ears. George wanted to take advantage of this and make an impact right away. He took his first steps in D.C. by spinning at venues such as KStreet Lounge, Eyebar, Lotus, Five, and Indebleu now known as STIR. The reaction and warmth from the crowd is what first impacted George and motivated him to produce the energy that he does with his music.

With clubs in his hometown of New York such as Pacha NY, Cielo, Kiss & Fly, 1Oak & Central being his main influences, George was presented with the blueprint for an enjoyable & energetic performance. The summer of 2008 triggered the success that George has been able to have. Holding his first residencies at Azza Lounge & D’or in New York presented George with the opportunity to travel between New York & Washington to perform. That summer is when George decided to put his life-long passion of playing soccer to pursue music professionally and to fulfill his long desired dream of being an artist. DJs such as Erick Morillo, Victor Calderon, DJ AM, Robbie Rivera, DJ Berrie, Richie Santana, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, DJ Enferno, David Guetta & DJ Camilo have been among the major influences in George’s career and style. These influences, along with his love for house music, feeding off the sensation of the crowd, his Latin energy, and addiction to drums have contributed to George’s unique style that have gotten him where he is today: able to make any crowd put in front of him move.

George has provided the entertainment for events such as Playboy Swimwear’s Fashion show, Inaugural Events during the 2009 Inauguration, Buzzing 4 Change –Cancer Fundraiser, and the USTA Tennis Final after party. George has performed for artists such as Sean Paul, Sean Kingston, Busta Rhymes, Wilmer Valderrama, Clinton Portis, the Wu-Tang Clan, Antawn Jamison, Michael Jordan, Rosario Dawson, and Alexander Ovechkin. George began his career in New York City in 2008 as resident at New York hotspots Azza and D’or & currently maintains residencies at the hip & trendy lounge La Zarza, as well as Su Casa. In Washington, he maintains residencies at renowned venues such as Josephine, KStreet, Current, Spot, & Stir. Since 2008, George has performed in New York at venues such as Hudson Terrace, Room Service, Greenhouse, Su Casa, Aspen Social Club, 49 Grove, D’or, Highbar, La Zarza, Corio, Azza, Anchor Bar, Central, & Cavo. In Washington, George has performed at Josephine, Napoleon, Spot, KStreet Lounge, Park at 14th, Stir, Five, Lotus, Andalu, Current, Eyebar, Donovan House Roof Terrace Champions, Left Bank, Heaven & Hell, and many more. George has also been mentioned in newspapers such as the New York Post and the Times Ledger. Along with being a deejay, George is also one of the original founders of, EZeeDJ, established in the summer of 2009.

From: Sweden
Style: Big room, melodic house
Famous Tracks: Bromance/Seek Bromance, Alcoholic, My Feelings for You
Best Known For: Going from a bedroom producer to one of the world’s best in 2 years. Getting wasted off Jager at Club Glow!!!
DJ Mag Rank: 39

We just can’t help ourselves, and neither can you!! Avicii is back again and this time it’s in the main room at Fur!!!

In the few years Avicii has been producing, he went from mild-mannered Swedish upstart to being named breakthrough DJ of the year by Tiesto, Laidback Luke and Dirty South and now he himself has broken into the DJ Mag Poll at #39!!!

The last time he was at Lima was so unbelievably packed we had to book him at Fur this time around. There’s no way around it, he’s that good, the fans (you!) are that good and the music is off the charts!! AVICIIIIIIIIII

Bio

Avicii had only been producing a few months when his friends noticed that the productions were amazingly professional and that they had just witnessed a great talent being born. Avicii started out with doing a remix of the theme music for the Commodore 64 game ‘Lazy Jones’, but decided to drop it as it inspired him to make his own ‘Lazy Lace’ – released almost immediately on Strike Recordings.

Avicii was instantly fascinated with producing and spent many hours in his home studio creating one fresh tune after the next. Avicii never tried to get caught up in a specific subgenre of house, but wanted to keep the productions up to date and innovative. His music is inspired by the likes of Laidback Luke, Steve Angello and Tocadisco, but also Daft Punk, Eric Prydz and that of Axwell.

What Avicii wants is to create music for people to listen to and come to love, whether it be at home or in a dark nightclub. Avicii puts great emphasis on melodies in his productions and wants to appeal to fans of many different house music genres. Avicii signed on to At Night Management in May 2008 and within a month the buzz around them spread noticeably and they were recognized on labels such as Joia Records, Vicious Grooves and Ministry of Sound, just to name a few. By the end of that month, Avicii had already signed a big deal with Vicious Grooves in Australia and were head on target to soon explode over the entire globe.

From: Canada
Style: Progressive/everything
Famous Tracks: Contact (featured on Tiesto’s ISOS 6)
Best Known For: Producing half the music you hear on every video game you play. Garnering support from top DJs across every style of EDM.

Listing Toronto and LA as home, Glenn Morrison can be found anywhere but the east and left coasts of North America. His style is so unique it has been supported by everyone from Armin van Buuren to John Digweed to Sven Vath. We’re pretty sure no other emerging stars in today’s scene can say that.

Wielding a close affiliation with Armada Music, Glenn has spun from the most exclusive yacht parties in the world to the largest, most reckless festivals anywhere. His ability to bring fans of niche dance music together under one roof embodies the ‘dance, love, music’ mantra of EDM fans everywhere.

Glenn’s music in fact, has been licensed by the likes of Armani, Mercedes, EA Sports, and Chanel!! EVERYONE loves this guy! It’s time you found out why!!

Bio

Glenn Morrison is a true global music citizen, who is as comfortable tweaking the controls in the studio, as pushing the emotional envelope with an audience of thousands. Because, or perhaps despite, being a teenage classical piano competition winner (CMC, Kiwanis Music Festival, & ORMTA if you’re asking), he manages to combine his skill as a DJ with the craft of writer and producer.

Moving through the business at breakneck speed, Glenn is as comfortable in the studio as holding court behind the decks, and is supported in his production role with extensive plays from the creme-de-la-creme of the DJing community, including Armin Van Buuren, Justice, John Digweed, Laurent Garnier, Sasha, Tiesto, Sander Kleinenberg and Sven Vath, to name but a few. This skill in the production arena has meant numerous signings across a series of well regarded and ‘classic’ dance labels such as Sony Music, Universal, EMI, Armada, Bedrock, Platipus, Ultra, Ministry Of Sound, Poker Flat, Defected, Azuli, and many others.

His eclectic taste for all things considered ‘proper club house music’ has garnered him a variety of fans from varying core sound bases. From grainy screeching acid lines to lush ethereal progressive, this jack of all trades does it all and well. He is well known for his live mixes at such prestigious clubs as the Amnesia in Ibiza, Pacha in Buenos Aires, and the Roseland Ballroom in New York City, but he is equally at home putting together a set for the Dance Department or John Digweed’s Transitions radio show. The common denominator in all these cases being the ability to make a crowd dance and an eye for quality.

Glenn came of age in the dance arena whilst working at Toronto’s influential Release Records. This lead to the foundation of Morrison Recordings, which has gone from strength to strength with its close association with the Dutch powerhouse of Armada Music. As well as releasing a string of high-quality dance records through his label Morrison Recordings, particularly Glenn himself has been involved in numerous licensing deals with a number of global brands such as Hugo Boss, Chanel and Armani Exchange, Mercedes Benz, and top computer players, Blizzard Entertainment, EA Sports and Nintendo.

Despite an almost overwhelming workload of extensive touring in all manner of locations, from the small and uber-exclusive world of private yachts, oceanic house parties and secret desert gatherings to mindblowingly huge events with over 70,000 hyped-up fans in stadiums and all the amazing club venues in-between, Glenn still finds the time to remix for an illustrious range of artists – Pet Shop Boys, Craig Armstrong, the B52’s, and Bernard Sumner (from New Order).

Most importantly, he is as enthralled by dance music in all it’s emotional glory as he was when the needle dropped and the beats fired-up on his first slice of vinyl.

Bio

2009 Kyau & Albert began the year with the release of their album ‘Best of 2002-2009’. They received the International Dance Music Award at the Miami Winter Music Conference for their single ‘Hide & Seek’ and were also praised with the prestigious Beatport Music Award for their remix of Cressida’s ‘6AM’. Having performed in 26 countries, they spent more days in airports and airplanes than ever before in their career. The single ‘I Love You’ wrapped up a fantastic year for Kyau & Albert.

2008 Their outstanding remix of Cressida’s ‘6AM’ was the best selling trance track of 2008 on Beatport, the leading online electronic dance music store. Marc Marberg joined the duo for a hot double collaboration ‘Neo Love/Orange Bill’ with ‘Orange Bill’ accompanied by a very clever and entertaining music video. Their remix of ‘Out of the Sky’ by Lange was yet another masterpiece popular across the global dance floor and having proved themselves as the remix masters, they were honoured in having the privilege of remixing Paul van Dyk’s single ‘Complicated’. Although it was the busiest year of their career, they also managed to release their hit single ‘Hide & Seek’ and due to popular demand, their sensational monthly radio show Euphonic Sessions was made available as a podcast through iTunes.

2007 Euphonic celebrated its tenth anniversary. To toast the label’s continued success in the electronic dance music arena, Kyau & Albert embarked on a global tour to commemorate their decade of dance. Their collaboration ‘Megashira’ with Marc Marberg was huge on the dance floor and they also released two more superb singles ‘Always a Fool’ and ‘7 Skies’.

2006 With a slight change in their name from Kyau vs. Albert to Kyau & Albert, ‘Walk Down/Kiksu’ was released as a double single. ‘Walk Down’ featured an associated music video and ‘Kiksu’ proved to be incredibly popular across the global dance floor. Their impressive second artist album ‘Worldvibe’ was released internationally. The first single from that album ‘Are You Fine?’ became their most successful release.

2005 ‘Made of Sun/Falling Anywhere’ was released as a double single in Germany on Euphonic and in the United Kingdom on Anjunabeats. This release was a global club hit and their biggest success to date. The mix compilation ‘Positive Ways 4’ was released later that year. Their album ‘Here We Are Now’ was also released in the United States of America, Russia and throughout Asia bringing Ralph and Steven many more new fans. As well as doing remixes for Schiller and OceanLab, they continued touring globally and commenced work on their second artist album.

2004 ‘Velvet Morning’ was released as a single on Anjunabeats in the United Kingdom and their next single ‘Not with You’ featuring Julie Lutat entered the German Singles Charts at #93. Their debut album ‘Here We Are Now’ was released in Germany after much anticipation. However, it was their remix of ‘Jump the next Train’ by Young Parisians which became an instant success and propelled them in to the international arena. Despite the growing number of requests for remixes by other artists such as Armin van Buuren or Ridgewalkers, Ralph and Steven focused on producing remixes of the singles ‘Made Of Sun’ and ‘Falling Anywhere’ from their debut album.

2003 ‘Review’ was the first compilation released by Kyau vs. Albert, showcasing their productions and remixes to date. Their next single ‘Velvet Morning’ entered the German Singles Charts at #74.

2002 ‘Save Me’ was finally released. It entered the German Singles Charts at #44. The demand by other artists for their remixes increased which kept Ralph and Steven incredibly busy during their weekly performances.

2001 Kyau vs. Albert released their single ‘Outside’ together with a music video played across German and European television. Paul van Dyk was a big fan of the single, playing it during his live sets. He eventually invited Ralph and Steven for an interview on his popular radio show. ‘Outside’ was a radio hit and entered the German Singles Charts at #74. Numerous remix requests followed from artists such as KayCee and Kosheen as well as further requests for television appearances. Despite Ralph and Steven having performance bookings every weekend, they worked hard to complete their single ‘Save Me’.

2000 The single ‘Great/Loebau’ entered the German Dance Music Charts in January, promoted by several German radio stations. WEA Records of Warner Music Germany was incredibly impressed with Kyau vs. Albert and commenced a three year deal with the duo.

1999 Using the pseudonym Moebius AG, Ralph and Steven produced a house track ‘Do what I want’ which became a massive club hit. It entered the German Dance Music Charts without any promotion by Euphonic.

1998 Although Ralph and Steven continued to produce tracks individually under various pseudonyms, they became an increasingly popular live act when performing as Kyau vs. Albert. ‘We Come In Peace’ was their first compilation released on Euphonic.

1997 In March Ralph and Steven established the record label Euphonic. Rough Mullar aka Sonorous and Ronski Speed were signed to the record label shortly after its establishment, which proved to be a solid foundation for their expression of new and creative musical ideas.

1996 Ralph and Steven became formally known as ‘Kyau vs. Albert’ and released their first single ‘Let me in’. They combined both of their small studios and established a music production company.

1995 Upon discovering they both had similar creative ideas, Ralph and Steven commenced producing music together. This included live performances.

1994 Ralph established Harmony Recordings together with DJ Shandy. Mirco de Govia was the first artist signed to the record label. Ralph met Steven Moebius Albert who had also been experimenting in producing electronic music.

1990-1993 Ralph Kyau began experimenting with the production of electronic music, performing his tracks live at several underground techno parties. He released his first record ‘Modulation Experiments’ at the end of 1993.
