Some of the beers that they will be highlighting are:

Schlafly Pumpkin

Pumpkin Ale blends the spices of the harvest with full-bodied sweetness for a beer that tastes like pumpkin pie. Pounds of pumpkin form a malty foundation that supports the fall flavors of cinnamon, nutmeg and clove.

Schlafly Oktoberfest

A traditional Bavarian Märzen with a toasty malt aroma and slight caramel taste.  This rich, amber lager is balanced by the use of German noble hops, while the lager yeast ferments cold and slow, creating a smooth, crisp beer.

Victory Oktoberfest

This one is much more traditional, pouring a rich deep amber/chestnut with a medium white head. Nose is fresh cracked grains, toasted chestnut, light and fresh German hops. Mouth is fresh toasted grains upfront, just a light roasted touch, with fresh pilsner hops and a nice subtle nutty quality. Crisp and tight, good tight body with lush tingling carbonation. Some light barley sweetness and a good dark bread.

Brooklyn Oktoberfest

When Crown Prince Ludwig of Bavaria wanted to celebrate his wedding engagement in 1810, he did what any good Bavarian prince would – he threw a beer festival. Both the festival and the special beer served there became known as Oktoberfest. Brewed from the finest German malt and hops, Brooklyn Oktoberfest is true to the original style, full bodied and malty, with a bread like aroma and light, brisk hop bitterness.

Venue Overview

From the team behind Public Bar, Capitale is a hybrid bar, lounge, and nightclub that boasts a grandiose interior, free admission on weekends, and one-of-a-kind happy hour. Located in place of the former K Street Lounge, Capitale seeks to deliver an inviting, unique, and exciting nightlife experience to DC.

There’s really no better way to describe Capitale’s ornate interior than saying it’s the byproduct of a Hollywood/Ancient Greece love affair set at Hogwarts. Featuring four massive bronze columns, snazzy chandeliers, floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, and tons of refurbished throwback furniture, the Capitale makes no attempt to conceal its opulence. Also with a 40 foot wooden bar, four 55″ TVs, and a raised platform for girls to dance, Capitale is like SAX Lounge’s stylish, freewheeling little sister – both of which were designed by O’Neill Studios.

Perhaps Capitale’s most distinct feature is its “mobile kitchen” happy hour concept. Through its partnership with the DC Food Truck Association, Capitale invites some of the city’s best food trucks to park directly outside the venue between the hours of 5-9 pm. Customers are encouraged to bring food they purchase from these trucks inside the venue or dine outside on the patio, pairing meals with the in-house drink menu.

Parties
  • Happy Hour: “Mobile Kitchen” Happy Hour featuring DC Food Trucks outside venue
  • Tuesday: Tuesdays at Capitale by DT Nation – Hip-hop, R&B, Top 40s
  • Thursday: College Party
  • Friday: Open Format – top 40/pop-house/mash up/hip-hop
  • Saturday: Open Format – top 40/pop-house/mash up/hip-hop
  • Sunday: SUNDAE at Capitale – hip hop

  • Atmosphere: Marvin is one of the chillest spots in DC. A favorite of pretty much everyone for a chill night of drinking on a nice rooftop deck. There’s a lounge inside, a restaurant downstairs, no cover and a relaxed dress code. The perfect no frills night.
Venue Overview

Everyone loves Marvin. Named after one of the greatest R&B singers ever, the restaurant/bar pays homage not only to Mr. Gaye through chill/funky music, but also by serving over 30 Belgian ales. It’s a tribute to the singer’s time spent in Belgium.

The lower level of the 2 floor space is the restaurant. Upstairs there’s a small lounge to your right with a DJ booth and bar. Straight ahead there’s a roof space with a front bar, back bar, a space to just chill, tables, stools, it’s pretty great. If you’re ever in need of a night off from wild clubbing, our recommendation is definitely Marvin or Barcode.

The Bistro at Marvin is classic Belgian-style, with home-cooked classics incorporating the tastes of Belgium and the American south.

Try Chef James Claudio and GM Sam Vasfi’s menue of moules frites, steaks, and other Belgian specialties offered along side BBQ ribs, chicken and waffles and seafood specials. The wine list is exclusively organic, sustainable and biodynamic wines.

Pictured above is the front portion of Marvin’s rooftop area. Beyond the bar, straight ahead is a decently sized sitting area. To the right of that sitting area is another bar and even more space. They do a great job at the door of limiting capacity to keep things comfortable.

The venue is (at least in part) owned by Eric Hilton of Thievery Corporation and 18th Street Lounge.

Co-star of hit Bravo TV series “Shahs of Sunset,” GG came out for an evening of clubbing in Washington DC at Barcode Restaurant, Bar and Lounge.

The controversial “Persian princess” lived up to all sides of her reputation, extremely nice and definitely feisty.
