Join Semi Precious Weapons and Lady Starlight for an After-Party following their appearance with Lady Gaga at the Monster Ball! Pop Nightlife brings you this special Tuesday Night Event at Ultrabar Nightclub on 9/7!

Semi Precious Weapons is the group that “splits the difference between AC/DC and Queen, fronted by the fabulously fierce Justin Tranter.”  It’s hard to argue with a band who expresses such an impassioned sentiment.  And audiences across the country ain’t fightin’ with the raw power and electricity that pulsates throughout a Semi Precious Weapons performance.  Their message is clear- music can be dangerous, dirty, and fun.

Lady Starlight is renowned the world over for being the inspiration, original creative partner and DJ for recording artist, Lady GaGa. A key player in Lady GaGa’s creative team: Haus of GaGa, she has collaborated with the singer since 2007 on everything from fashion styling, onstage performance concepts, and set design. LADY STARLIGHT filmed the singer on her 2009 Fame Ball Tour for her behind the scenes, online tour diaries. She is currently performing around the world on Lady GaGa’s 2010 Monster Ball Tour, opening the nights festivities with her rock’n roll DJ set/go-go act.

With his recent remix of Kaskade’s ‘Dynasty’ landing safely in the hands of Ryan himself, Glow resident Roberto Gonzalez is steadily climbing the ladder to fame well beyond our DC EDM community. Roberto’s music library is disgustingly huge and well equipped for throwing an amazing party. His knowledge of the DC crowd and what we like is unparalleled.

Jon Deke bangs out every time he spins. His ability to evenly flow from disco-influenced house to thumping electro is a testament to his prowess as a DJ. His opening sets for artists like Calvin Harris, JFK and Don Diablo prove that he can get the crowd moving with ease and keep them moving with every track he spins.

Think the party stops after the concert on Tuesday 9/7? Think again.

POP is throwing down a crazy post-concert party on Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010 at Ultrabar!

Featuring Lady Gaga’s opening band, Semi Precious Weapons, and her BFF and DJ, Lady Starlight, this party promises to be the wildest, kinkiest Tuesday night D.C.’s witnessed in a long time.

Expect dirty glam rock with men in high heels – Semi Precious Weapons – and over-the-top bangs and 1970s-era leotards — Lady Starlight — with a splash of Washingtonian POP cultura (“Alejandro!”).

Think Gaga-infused euphoria. Think POP.

He spins hard, he spins dark, and he spins foooreeevvveeerr. Famous for his 24 hour marathon sets, Victor Calderone has massive followings in NY and Miami. His parties are famous for allowing people to completely forget the world around them. When you walk inside the club and Vic is spinning, nothing else matters. It’s just you, him and the music. The best after parties in NY are without question headlined by Calderone. Whether you’re leaving Electric Zoo, just saw Armin or PvD at an early evening outdoor venue, or don’t know what to do late night on Thanksgiving, Halloween, Independence Day, whatever. VC’s parties are where it’s at. He’s going to explode all over Lima’s face, there’s no question about it. The only real question is can you handle it?

Sean Tyas | Saturday August 21 at Glow at Fur

Sean Tyas is pure trance. That’s how DJ Mag describes #45’s style. The NYC local took his act on the road and boom!! He’s the best trance DJ from the US. “Lift” is considered by many to be one of the best trance tunes of all time. He has also engineered some of Armin van Buuren’s hits including ‘Intricacy.’

Enferno2010_eflyer

DJ Enferno, DC’s native son and Madonna’s very own DJ from her Sticky and Sweet world tour, will be performing live this Friday, August 20th at POP at Ultrabar Nightclub and Lounge in Washington DC!

Funkerman | Thursday August 19 at Glow at Lima

Funkerman and Fedde Le Grand go together like spaghetti and meatballs. Funker was all over Fedde and Ida Corr’s smash hit ‘Let Me Think About It’ and they’ve got one of MTV Europe’s current top 10 with the Ibiza summer hit ‘New Life.’ Inspired by hip-hop, disco and funk (obviously), Funkerman spins all out every time.

The Crystal Method | Saturday August 14 at Glow at Fur

How many electronic artists can you think of that have a platinum selling record? We can only think of one… The Crystal Method. And we’ve got them at Fur Saturday night! These guys were producing EDM in the US when it wasn’t cool. And look at them now. Last year’s “Divided by Night” album proves they’re still on top of their game.

Don Diablo | Thursday August 12 at Glow at Lima

Don Diablo is the next Tiesto. Only he plays this wild, electro/hip-hop bad-ass party music. You’re going to LOVE IT!!! He’s remixed everyone from Public Enemy to Iggy Pop to Laidback Luke. He’s on the cusp of releasing his new album called “Exit Studio Sweatshop.” We’ve linked the video for the first single “Who’s Your Daddy,”
