Thank You Festival

The sun is threatening to come out, and that can only mean one thing, the summer festival season is upon us.  And this summer, the Thank You Festival is going to be the EDM event of the season.

Glow in partnership with The Global Citizen movement, and the World Childhood Foundation, will host the event in an effort to motivate and educate socially active youth about the causes and consequences of extreme poverty.

Globally renowned headliner Tiësto stated,

Through my work with the World Childhood Foundation, I’ve learned about the millions of kids who are battling abuse and even dying from diseases that have known cures.  I hope all my fans will join me in working with these amazing organizations to help these children all around the world live and become healthy and strong so they can enjoy their childhoods.

Nothing gets your summer off to a blistering start more than a killer music festival, for a good cause so get ready for the Thank You Festival coming this June.

In the meantime, get planning. Buy your tickets; check out the insane lineup of artists you won’t want to miss and get hydrated for the area’s biggest and best summer festival.

Concertgoers can learn about the role the United States has played in helping to ensure children everywhere can live a healthy, full life by visiting

Roughly 6.6 million children under five still die each year, most from preventable causes.  Children from all socioeconomic backgrounds continue to face challenges of exploitation and abuse, preventing them from having a happy and healthy childhood.

                  United States dollars help!
  • Reduce the number of children who die before their 5th birthday
  • Cut new polio cases from 1000 a day in 1990 to 1 a day in 2013
  • Prevent millions of children from becoming disabled

Spring Concerts in DC

Spring has officially sprung and so has a crop full of concerts in the nation’s capital that’ll propel you far into summer.  Whether you’re into the nightclub feel of Echostage, outdoor mega shows at Jiffy Lube Live, or Festivals at Merriweather Post Pavillion the DMV’s got it all. We’ve scouted out some of the best gigs here, but don’t stand around picking your nose, if you want to grab seats for one of these must see concerts—tickets are already on sale for nearly everything listed, and some are already sold out. (We’re definitely talking about you, Sweet Life Festival and Country Mega Ticket).  But don’t worry there’s always other ways to score tickets (Stubhub, Craigslist, beg, borrow, steal).

Miley Cyrus

Rick Ross

DC Concerts Rick Ross

“Both physically and culturally very large” (according the his website) his voice sells, the way Sinatra once sold an implacable but supple kind of confidence.  With his record entitled ‘God Forgives, I Don’t’, I’d consider that a threat, so you’d better get your tickets pronto.

Carl Cox

Get ready for another major Glow DC event.  As the very first winner of DJ Magazine’s prestigious Top 100 DJ poll in 1997, the ‘Three Deck Wizard’ himself, Carl Cox will be joined by one of the UK’s finest exports in electronic music, Nic Fanciulli, and head of his own record label (Younan Music) Saeed Younan all under the same roof.

Perhaps the new Eminem, Machine Gun Kelly is made famous by penning rhymes about everything from addiction to family issues, MGK is a symbol of relentless perseverance to his fans and the MC is about to begin the next chapter of his already successful career.

Country Mega Ticket

DC Concerts Country Mega Ticket
When: May 17- September 20, 2014
Where: Jiffy Lube Live

Benny Benassi

DC Concerts Benny Benassi

Benny Benassi, who recently worked with Madonna and Chris Brown is an EDM show full of charisma, his dj style is easy to describe… it’s kinda electro, sort of house-tec, dirty and cool, sweaty and smooth.  This tour will surely bring you some ‘Satisfaction’.
