This fall, groups are already hoarding theaters in Los Angeles awaiting the November 18 opening of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part I. Not since 2005 with the May 16 opening of Star Wars: Episode II — Attack of the Clones did such a desperate group of crazies line up in anticipation of a movie opening. That year, fans held their stance up to 6 weeks in advance.
The fans of the franchise have set up a tent village outside of the theater. This behavior is actually encouraged by the studio because who doesn’t want a rabid fan base and all the free coverage of stories just like this showing how insane they are?
