The coziness of an upscale lounge housed within the space of a nightclub. District’s loft-style design and custom lighting arrangement screams, “sexy!” LCD screens, exposed brick, a spiral staircase, wrap around mezzanine and raised DJ booth emit an industrial elegance rarely found in DC nightlife. Patrons enjoy the amenities of District, Adams Morgan

Using President John F. Kennedy’s description of Washington DC as a city of “southern efficiency and northern charm,” as a guide, the owners of District created a menu of eclectic surf and turf dishes in an attempt to quench DC’s insatiable appetite for epicurean wonders. The tapas menu includes shrimp and cheddar grits, tuna tartar and sushi including a surf and turf roll. The entrees consist of rib-eye steak, grilled sea bass, crab cakes and more! Drink pairings may be suggested or custom-made to fit your culinary selection.

  • Thursdays host special occasion parties. Past events include a Hustler lingerie fashion show, cancer benefit, date auction and world-renowned DJ bookings.
  • Fridays are WTF!!!?!?! Because on a Friday night in Adams Morgan, anything could happen!
  • Saturdays belong to District. Tight skirts, blazers and bottles.

    To whom it may concern,
I will begin by saying The District was a beautiful club and the beginning of my night there was awesome! Last night, November 5th, was my first excursion to DC to see the nightlife. I was with a group of guys for a friend’s bachelor party. We rode out there in a stretch Hummer and had reserved a VIP section at The District. Around 1am I left the VIP section alone to go smoke a cigarette. As I made my way down the stairs, a woman came out of nowhere punched me in the face and began ranting as if she knew me! I then did the only responsible thing I could think of at the moment, I ran! Once outside, I lit a cigarette and tried to call a friend who still inside. The woman had followed me outside an her and her boyfriend began attacking me again. I had my arms over my head as they continued. Then the police showed up. One of The District’s bouncers told the police I had punched the woman! I had my iPhone stolen from me, arrested, and charged assault! I would like to speak with someone from The District to find out about surveillance cameras and the possibility of getting the tapes. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    • Hi Fred,

I’m so sorry to hear that happened. The worst thing is when something bad happens at night and there is confusion about what the real situation was. Although we are not affiliated with District I would be glad to give you their phone number as listed on google: (202) 588-0385. Tried to reference on their website but there seemed to be an issue with it. Wish you the best of luck.
