Show Preview

From: USA (Rhode Island)
Style: House, Mash Up, Top 40 hip-hop, rock
Famous Tracks: Beat Dat Beat
Best Known For: Gym, tan, laundry. T-shirt time. The shirt before the shirt. Tossing grenades and stepping on landmines.
America’s Best DJ Rank: 8

Pauly D’s debut performance at Glow was unreal. We were thoroughly impressed by his ability to move between tracks like Far East Movement – Fly Like a G6, Wynter Gordon and David Guetta – Dirty Talk, David Guetta and Afrojack – Louder than Words, Afrojack – Zeggie, Avicii – Bromance and Alcoholic, Sweet Disposition. You see how that goes right there? Yeah you do. That’s called FLOW, and DJ Pauly D has got plenty of it.

We can only assume that with more massive events under his belt comes an even more eclectic track selection and perhaps a widening of the gap on both ends! Like we said in our review of the first event, his ability to introduce mainstream fans to quality house music took our breath away.

This is not Pop. This is GLOW!

Bio

Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio aka. Pauly D was born in Providence, RI on July 5, 1980. His lifelong interest and early passion for music are what sparked his career, that passion brought him right to the top as Pauly is one of the most sought after DJ’s today.

Pauly’s fame rose to a new level in December 2009 when MTV’s highest rated show “Jersey Shore” first premiered. Pauly quickly became a fan favorite known for his impeccable grooming and memorable catchphrases.

In 2010, Pauly released his first single “Beat Dat Beat” with Universal Republic Records which quickly rose up the charts solidifying his place in pop culture. In June 2010 Pauly earned one of the highest honors that can be awarded to a DJ, he was nominated for America’s Best DJ, alongside the best in the business.

Long before his MTV “Jersey Shore” fame Pauly started as DJ, and that is where his passion remains. Pauly started spinning in the club scene at the age of 18 at local spots, and private functions.

Pauly has the incredible ability to control and please a crowd. This world famous DJ is definitely a ladies man to the fullest extreme, any venue he spins at will be packed with beautiful women, dying for a glimpse of him and what he does. He has surpassed the capabilities of most local DJ´s and the vibe he brings is beyond powerful. He strides in keeping the dance floor moving.

Pauly is one of the nation’s favorite DJ’s and is always in high demand. He is a crowd favorite and a true asset to any venue. Pauly continues to tour the world DJing while holding down a Vegas residency.
It was recently announced by Walt Disney World that he will be the featured DJ act in “Disney’s Grad Nite 2011” at Magic Kingdom Park, which Pauly acknowledges is a huge honor.

      Hi Carla!

Thanks for taking the time to talk to us. To answer your question, all you have to do is look at the name of the article you commented on. The answer is right there in front of ya. Its actually the largest print on the entire page.

I’m not really sure how you missed it, but perhaps you can let us know what we can do to make it clearer for readers. We want our site to be as clear and easy to use as possible, and if writing the date of the event 12 times on the page isn’t enough, we’ll write it 13 times! Just let us know what we can do to make things clearer for readers, and we’ll be happy to do it!

If only there were some way we could write the date of the show in the largest font used on the entire site blazing across the top of the page, or perhaps include the date in the article title in some way. Maybe we could even have some form of image or flyer that could show the artist name, date and location, then include the same information written in plain text next to the flyer. I just wish there was some way we could maybe incorporate it into the url of the page, or at least find some way to display it in the title of your browser window or in the title of the google results. Perhaps we could even have the date listed in the comments section, or even in the comment directly above yours. If only we could put the date on the ticket purchase page or on the passes. Its too bad there isn’t a system to display it in the recent tweets section or maybe the recent posts on facebook.

If only any of those things existed, perhaps it would have saved you from having to ask a silly question…
